The series of standards IEC 61439 for low voltage switchgear assemblies contain system and application details which have to be defined by the user so the manufacturer can manufacture a switchgear assembly meeting the requirements and expectations of the user. This applies to energy-switchgear assemblies, installation distributors, building site distributors, cable distribution cabinets, busbar trunking systems and switchgear assemblies for sites such as marinas, camping sites, market places as well for charging points for electric vehicles.
