Continuity test
With the continuity test one wants to find out if two points are electrically connected with each other or if there is an interruption.

Within an electrical safety test can therewith for example be determined if the DUT is correctly connected. The continuity test is usually performed with 22 / 24 V DC. Admittedly the continuity test is not a safety relevant test but it also serves to verify if the power switch of the product is activated so that the safety test is performed on the complete product and not at the switching element.
All multi function test device made by SPS electronic offer the option to perform a continuity test. This can for example be carried out at the beginning of the test sequence before the additional safety tests such as e.g. a ground bond test, insulation resistance test or a hipot test are performed.
