Operators of electrical test equipment are responsible for ensuring that the test systems applied for the electrical safety testing are subjected to a regular function check. Only by a daily review of the multi tester, machine tester, test equipment, surge tester, lighting test device, motor test system through a "PASS / FAIL" simulation can be assumed that the products function properly in regard to technical safety and quality and most of all that the safety of the products is guaranteed for the end customer. Therefore the SPS electronic GmbH recommends the daily use of a test dummy adapted instead of the DUT and which simulates the "PASS / FAIL" case.

Without applying the test dummy it can happen that the test system, the surge tester, the machine tester, the earth bond test device, the lighting tester, the motor test device, the test pistol does not detect and display a defect. Responsible users therefore apply a test dummy of the SPS electronic GmbH. The impulse winding test, line leakage test, continuity test, the function test, high voltage test insulation test and earth bond test can so be faultlessly performed.

If the function check is not performed regularly same can lead to unpleasant consequences. In the worst case operators need to order a recall of one or several production lines since the safety technical requirements of the delivered products are not fulfilled and pose a danger to the end consumer.
